I’m in the Acapulco airport. It is hot and I am sweating like a pig. I have a flight to Mexico City and then get to wait 3 hours for the flight to Dallas. Once in Dallas I have a 3 hour flight to Austin. Traveling on the cheap doesn’t exactly get you the fastest routes. I left all of my liquids back at the hotel so I can carry my bag on without freaking out American Airlines’ security forces with my toothpaste and contact lens solution. Throwing the stuff away was pretty easy since they were almost gone.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon at the beach bar.

The bartenders took care of me and made sure I was aware of the 2×1 happy hour prices even though I was there for four hours. When I checked out, I found I spent more on beer than on the room. Which really is the way it should be. Look at this pic closely. You’ll see that the Doodlebug was down in Acapulco too.
